Program
Little Peak’s classroom focuses on activities and experiences to help children develop foundational skills needed in kindergarten while also being supportive toward their individual abilities. We devote a lot of attention on children’s social and emotional development, empowering confidence, exploration and independence. We use character-building activities to help identify emotions; have group discussions to practice sharing ideas, thoughts and feelings; and provide opportunities to cooperate, negotiate, problem-solve and make independent choices.

About us
My name is Maddy and I am the Founder and lead teacher at Little Peak Daycare. For the past 12 years, and especially over the last five years, I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to help develop the minds, bodies and spirits of young children. Exploring with our youngest learners has always been my passion and after teaching at Sterling and Collingwood, two of the leading independent schools in Toronto and Vancouver respectively, I am thrilled to create a child care space in Squamish that will foster the development of the whole child, where the children will feel excited to learn about themselves, others and the world around them.
Explore Nature
At Little Peak Daycare, we believe that children learn best when they can connect their learning to real world experiences. With half an acre to explore, children will be brought outside for numerous learning opportunities throughout the day.
