Little Peak’s program is designed to ignite a love for learning in every child. We develop activities to help them explore new things about themselves, each other and the world around them. Our days are filled with fun activities that will engage, challenge and inspire children to be curious thinkers and advocates for their own learning.
Little Peak believes that play is vital to children’s learning, growing, and making meaning of themselves and the world around them.
Our program is designed to help children acquire the skills and behaviours that promote their optimal growth physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
Our day will consist of a balance of free exploration, small group activities, full group activities and outdoor learning.
We believe that children are active, strong, curious and capable learners. We believe that children should be active participants in their learning and be a part of creating the curriculum. We also see the importance of teacher-planned experiences and purposeful play in order to help children reach certain educational goals. Therefore, our program is built on collaboration and mutual learning between our teachers and children. Our curriculum evolves from the interests and experiences of the children with the goal to deepen and extend their learning as they discover meaning and understanding in their play.
Teachers are there to observe, extend, support and engage in play with the children. Through these interactions and observations, teachers will create activities, both inside and outside, that will capture the interest of the children. They will be there to monitor their curiosities and questions to ensure that they can add/take away materials that will continue to encourage the children’s engagement and interests.
Children in our care are encouraged to use whatever style of learning is most natural to them and teachers are there to guide and support them every step of the way.
Our goal is to foster the development of the whole child where the children will feel excited to learn about themselves, others and the world around them.
$1560 per month
We are part of the CCFRI and children under 36 months will have a reduced cost of $900 and children over 36 months will have a reduced cost of $545.
There is a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of $100.00 per child payable to Little Peak Childcare Inc. prior to enrollment.
